Jada Toys Hits Hard With New Street Fighter Action Figures

Nov 21, 2023 (Updated on Nov 23, 2023)

Everyone knows that Chun Li is the queen of the video game world. One could argue that she is the most recognizable female character in all of gaming. There's nothing like walking into a Chinese restaurant and seeing those old arcade boxes sitting in the corner, the “fight” sound effect ringing out through the whole shop. To me, Street Fighter is a fighting game series that just can't be topped. From the vibes to the characters, there's just something special about it.

Something that’s come out in recent months is a Street Fighter action figure line and, let me just say, Jada Toys is doing an amazing job. I know what you might be thinking, “What? A matchbox car company making martial arts action figures? Impossible!” That would be an understandable reaction but, truly, these figures are the new spotlight on my shelf. The number of poses you can put these guys in is incredible. From high kicks to crane stances, there is really no limit to the number of fight scenes you can act out with these bad boys.

Jada Toys Street Fighter Chun Li

So far Jada has released Ryu, Fei Long, and Chun Li along with an Evil Ryu that was exclusive to SDCC. However, I understand not everyone is a Street Fighter fan. Even if you aren't into gaming or into this franchise you can still enjoy these figures. Ryu is your classic Karate master, dawning a karate Gi and head band. Fei Long is perfect for Bruce Lee fans, stealing his classic look from Fists of Fury. Chun Li on the other hand is a gorgeous figure, if you discount the spikey bracelets, she looks like a beautiful traditional Chinese dancer.

Honestly, these are my new favorite figures to mess around with. I can't even lie; I will probably end up buying every single one they release. I have a slight addiction to this franchise so please don’t bully me. They have announced a Ken figure as well which will be releasing in March of 2024 so keep your eyes out for that one. I'm very excited to see where this line goes. Maybe we will see a Vega or a bigger figure like Zangief. The possibilities are endless with such a big series as Street Fighter and my imagination is running wild.
